Yoru has been obsessed with music that traces it’s roots back to black music for, well for a long time.
He has a deep love for bass, sound system culture, and the idea that music is more than melody and notes, it’s a story, it’s a feeling, it’s a vibe, it’s a family, it’s a community, it’s an identity and a unifying force.
Although his output is sporadic, his dedication to learning, exploring and understanding music has been unwavering.
One half of Rudimentary Records, dedicated selector and DJ, who counts features on 1Xtra, numerous festivals, pirate radio and part of a truly committed network of junglists in Ireland for over 20 years, this EP is a reflection of his pursuit of a story, a vibe or a feeling.
